after the winds of last week we were left without internet, oh what a bugger, missing all the friendly banter that goes on with the forum, and are now delighted that bt has fixed the cable a day before our "on date" we will just have too hope that this is not a wee tester from bt, then we'll be bugger again. It has been frustrating, annoying, inconvenient, oh and no to mention the withdrawal symptoms of not be able to be on Tas.Hope you all did not have too much damage done with hurricane -unt.
will need to catch up quickly on all the gossip.

We had a power cut and a lot of roof issues but it was nice to chat with the neighbours and have a cup of tea as I had a gas cooker and kettles...I was in a mess as we went out as soon as we woke up and the house was even worse, one thing I was glad of is we have gas and open fires, one thing I was not glad of is our Chimney pots had been blown and were on the wobble so we had to have the fire brigadge in, now we have *hite loads of ready cut logs from some tree felling and only one open fire!!!! The wind was bad here as a few houses lost roof tiles and ridge tiles and the power was only off for a few hours thankfuly!!

What a nightmare - leavened by hopefully cute firemen and lots of logs to burn ;D

THey were but I think they were concentrating as the chimeny pots were very old and very heavy and they had to get high up on ropes to let them down, one had to be smashed!!!! We had firemen here before to help an old lady out of her room but she had locked it herself, we had to stop them quick as they were just about to get thier choppers out on our lovely door frame...I noticed that they were all very petite and trim too (nice little bums)
