Title: Slaughterhouses and Butchers in East Devon
Post by: joehalstead93 on January 08, 2012, 11:47:24 am
I am a first time pig keeper in Branscombe, East Devon. I am looking for good slaughterhouses and butchers nearby. Any suggestions?

Hi Joe, what I did was go on line to Bristol Trade it (that's the closest to me) look at all the weaners for sale closest to you and make contact with the seller and perhaps ask them were they have there pigs killed or you could pop in to your local butcher.

Hi again Joe,

Oaklands Pigs guide to abattoirs is here:

There is one mentioned in there at Ottery St Mary, which I don't think is too far from you.

Julie.

I live in East Devon and I have pigs- The abbatoir to go for is Coles Abbatoir in Ottery St. Mary. They do pigs every other monday and you have to book a fortnight in advance. They do all the butchery for you as well, if you want.
