It must be that time of year again, though not my sheep yet!
Howling gales and icy rain so my friend's sheep decide that now would be a good time to start lambing!
The biggest ramb lamb I think I have ever seen is warming up in the aga as I type
Hopefully we can bring the rest in today and make life a bit easier for my friend ;D
-
Bless him - hope you can get them in and the rest lamb indoors :sheep:

Lucky lamb!
It's nice and sunny here, but I don't knwo how long it will last :)

How many lambs is she expecting and how big is your aga? ;) ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Bit retro but almost a UB40 song there in the title ;D

By coincidence, we've got one in ours at the moment too - well, the leg of one at least! :o

Wow. I like my meat pink - but that's rare. ;) :D

Nope, no danger of that whatsoever :yum:

Yep i've had one by the aga and he's now in my back passageway :o got too hot in the kitchen for him.Single quartered ewe predictably gives birth to twins, always happens. and nothing to foster to

Would love to see a photo. Had one in ours last year and all our friends found it fascinating. :)

I'm no longer allowed lambs in the house. Every time I brought one in to warm up the dog peed on me! cue the swearing!
I now have a dog crate on a couple o blocks with a fan heater blowing in below for warmth. An old blanket over the top keeps the heat in and it's much easier to clean! I can also fit more than just a couple o lambs in if the weather really doesn't play the game!
It's not so romantic but the dog prefers it in the long run!

I can't imagine a lamb trotting around your immaculate kitchen Dougal !! With our stone floor, dog and muck boot prints I'm sure a lamb would quite like sitting by our wood burner - off subject but Zip is doing great - so naughty at home (on his own turf) - out and about he's a little softie butter wouldn't melt!!
-
he's now in my back passageway :o
Let's not even go there !

I think my mate is in for a year of it with this crop of lambs! Only got a few, another one started today, and i was presented with a nose and SIX legs to untangle :o :o
Thank gods I have small hands. One good healthy lamb owner of the head and 2 feet, one stillborn, he was doubled up presenting all four feet first. Never seen that one before!
