JUst wondering who the lucky winners were. ???
-
The results are online now here:
http://www.accidentalsmallholder.net/online-shows/ (http://www.accidentalsmallholder.net/online-shows/)
We had a small technical hitch that meant the incorrect result was showing for a few hours, so apologies to anyone who saw those.
We'll announce the results formally today, be in touch with the prize winners and do a bit of improvement work on the system. :)

Naughtiest/ best escape artist (topical? yeah, just a bit ::) lol!)
On a serious note, ahem... not sure we have enough to break it into breeds but maybe we could have 'best wether' best nanny...kid ...billy...etc?
-
Congratulations to the winners, there were some very lovely photo's entered. :trophy:
Re. Goat Show, I agree with Plum's - Classes for Best Wether, Doe, Buck, and kid… and maybe a class for 'goat most like it's owner' ! :o

I can try to look cute but not sure I can grow the beard. ;D
What about a class for best senior goat?
-
Oh. now I'm thinking... classes I've enjoyed at various local shows over the years...
- veteran, of course
- most appealing eyes
- waggiest tail - works for dogs, what's the equivalent for goats, pigs, ducks, sheep...? ???
- best 6-legs (dog and owner, in this case)
- love the 'most like owner' (or vice versa) idea
Oh, and what about 'unlikely friendships'?
-

Okay, just so I get the terminology right, we'll have:
- Best Wether
- Best Doe (not Nanny?)
- Best Buck (not Billy?)
- Best Kid
- Goat most like its owner
It's scheduled to start tomorrow (Saturday). :)

When I was a Kid ;D adult female goats were 'Nannies' - adult entire male goats were known as 'Billies'.
I think it's a fashion thing, most people seem to call them Does and Bucks nowadays, or maybe it's a regional thing like cade/sock/caddy lambs ? :-\
