Title: Moss problem
Post by: chickadee on January 02, 2012, 07:57:30 pm
I have had a nine acre field for 5 years now and this year the moss has really taken over, does anyone know how I can contact a specialist to assess the field so I can improve the grass and get rid of the moss.  We have improved the drainage over the years but the field clearly needs help.

Take soil samples get the PH right, lime ,P ,k . Find a local contractor with a set of vibrating harrows, works wonders on moss , the harrows can also be used to over sow grass seed to fill in the gaps left by the moss removal .
