we got our first eggs off this years chicks today. yeah....boxing day treat!

Our ducks started laying again the other day or maybe the other week. Who knows as they strolled off between their 2 duck houses and under a  20 feet Bay tree to hide their eggs. My daughter is visiting and despite the cold and low branches of the tree she seems happy enough crawling under it on her daily treasure hunt to collect more eggs. I have yet to tell her that I have given the last 4 duck eggs to the pigs !!
They like treasure.

A wonderful moment, I was so delighted with my first egg I kept it 2 weeks and took its picture to show everybody ;)

I've been getting eggs for 18 months now, but still I treat them like treasure.  You know, when someone asks me if I've got some to sell, I think, yeah- as if  you could afford them, they're like solid gold to me.  :yum: Hands off!
