We had fresh snow in the night - the biggest flakes I've seen, all very Christmassy, about 4 fluffy inches.  Looks like it will turn to rain later.  Must be winter  ;D

Strangely I really do miss living up north at this time of year, I loved the crisp mornings. Down here it is dreak muddy and just darn soggy

Its a beautiful sunny day here although we had a lot of rain last night.  The weather forecast has just said that much of the UK will be in double figures by mid next week.  Sounds good if you are travelling for christmas.

Does look lovely - hides a multitude of sins too ;D

Cold here, we've had a couple of showers of sleety rain, but high cloud just now.

We have a big dollop of the white stuff, yet again.  And its so cold too.  Animals not impressed at white grass.  Goats all  tucked up inside except Elliot, the pygmy billy, who is standing high up on his pallet bridge, in a blizzard.......why?!!!

He has a dry shed to go in ......people will think I am cruel having him stand out in this weather.  If we shut him in, he kicks off big style, until he gets out again.

Mist has come down now to add to our miersy :'(

I heard a bird sing in the dark of December
A magical thing and sweet to remember
We are nearer to spring than we were in September

Now then, did that cheer anyone up? :D

The 'nearer to Spring' line certainly did  :)
Yeh, we had white stuff and mist today - though it feels warmer when I out to switch the goats' light off just now.

nice poem, not seen that one before.

re the weather, I could actaually do some with a cold snap to harden up the ground for a bit. Got a load of firewood to move close to the house and would rather not have to wade through the somme to get it there.

Our Reggie is the same Roxy - I think he likes to check the weather. soon as he 'smells' snow or sleet, he stands staring at the clouds. first snowflakes, out comes his tongue.  He just loves the cold!
