Firstly, I'm very envious......... :)
Could it be that they were just more familiar on the second day? Maybe just one of those things tho' ;D ;D
Good luck for your next event.

hi knightquest
it wasnt really the dogs at fault on saturday it was me, thr corner they took early in the vid, i couldnt see and the track had been used in previous classes that day, had i see it i could have called straight on and i think all would have been fine, later the guy stood in the middle of the trail spooked the dogs but he couldnt do anything else as some local dim wit had removed the trail marker and he had only just discovered it missing.
the dogs did recover well and finished in second place on saturday and third on sunday.
hi sallyinthenorth
you are very welcome

WOW -- That was great! - what fantastic dogs !!. How far do the dogs normally run in an event like that one?

hi tilly
thanks, this race was 2.3miles for 3 dog teams, i race with an organisation called BSHRA, the maximum distance this year for three dog teams is set at 4 miles, this race was short due to the temperature and also the sandy conditions.

Two Mals that are walked past my house daily on their 20 min. walk, wearing rain-coats for Heaven's sake!!!!! :o would be so envious of your dogs doing what they are meant to. A lovely sight :)

haha
we used to walk ours miles and miles, i was always shattered and the dogs wanted more, this is so much easier and the dogs so much happier, makes it well worth it, i love training them as well so thats a bonus.
some mals at this rally, they are so much slower but again they love it.

Mals in raincoats??? Virtual cruelty case :o
Having watched the huskies race and having a mal (and a leonberger) pull me, I can only wonder just how fast the Alaskan Huskies are.................
Well done getting second by the way ;)

i watched an open race a while back, they had euro hounds racing, they looked really odd, sort of slung together but still fast.
