Hello all, it is about time we introduced ourselves to the forum as we have been lurking in the background for a while now.
We live just outside Dundee in a wee cottage where we are trying our first, very small, steps towards supporting ourselves more. Self sufficiency would be wonderful, but I'm not sure we could take that giant leap, well not for a while anyway! So far we have chickens (light sussex and light sussex/anacona crosses), rabbits and an 18 month golden retriever. We grew our own veg last year, with varying success, however this year we moved into our own cottage and the garden is a little way down the to do list, hopefully next year though, there just never seems to be enough hours in the day!
We have not only found the forum very informative but often find ourselves in the coffee lounge reading about the interesting things people are up to. It's so nice to find such a mixed bunch of people, yet all with the same general outlook to life.
Best wishes,
C2

Hello, and welcome.
We're in Barry, so not far from you. :)
Are the rabbits pets or for meat?

Hi Dan,
I keep joking about making a pie, but the rabbits are very much my wifes pets!

Hi Rosemary,
Nope we are the other side of Dundee just by Fowlis, surrounded by fields but only a few miles from the city.
