Title: WANTED: Kelpie or kelpie cross bitch - to breed from

I've got an amazing kelpie cross labrador dog who is approaching 9 and I wish to carry on his progeny as I've found him to be a great working dog with the gorgeous temperament of a lab. Do you have a bitch you no longer need who is of working background? I am looking for a kelpie or kelpie cross or huntaway type and will give a loving, permanent home to the right bitch. Alternatively, are you looking to breed working dogs from your bitch? Maybe we could come to some arrangement to use my dog as stud and take a pup or two from the litter. I can't stress enough what a gem of a dog he is - black and tan with white chest blaze. Pictures available if interested.

There are increasing numbers of kelpies and kelpie xs in rescues (NOT FOR BREEDING THO!!!) so if you'd like any contact details of co-ordinator, let me know.

Also, interested to know why you put your dogs good nature down to the Lab influence??!  Kelpies can and do make the most loving, loyal, genuine dogs ever - Great family dogs...

Sorry haven't replied sooner - been away from computer!

I only put the good nature down to the lab because I've had labs before but never a kelpie, so other than the working instinct I don't know a great deal about pure kelpies - so you can put my comment down to ignorance on that score. Good to know kelpies are good natured like labs!
