Just lovely, aren't these small things just so nice, the beauty is in the detail ;)

If Im ever feeling down, I sit in with the boys for half an hour or so, just talking to them, telling them all my problems. I give them hugs and strokes and usually feel a whole lot better. The way they just look at me when Im talking to them is magical. Its like they understand what Im saying to them. They love the sound of our voices.

Their company and calming presence is something you start to take for granted as life gets in the way, thanks for reminding me to appreciate my time with the girls more :)
Someday soon I'm sure GG's little friends will reward the time spent with them and be as friendly as well as entertaining :)

That's not a waste of hours. that's therapy.

I sat in with my girls one evening, that lovely calming sound of them just munching their hay, untill I realised it had become pitch black outside and hens + ducks weren't fastened in.
Luckily they were sat inside waiting for their suppers.

I can second that - when ive visited Lesleys girls we sit outside yakking with our mugs of tea discussing goats ......whilst they stand in the yard and listen

A couple of weeks ago we cleaned out the goats, lay down a thick layer of Bedwell bedding and then some straw. Late afternoon my two girls were lying down and I joined them as I knew it was lovely and clean. It was so comforting to be with them on the ground, and it was so warm no wonder they loved to lie on it. I had such an enjoyable relaxing time with them. :)

when we very first had goats, I twice caught my husband curled up on a hay bale, fast asleep, cuddling Geraldine who was just days old! and Margo dozing by their side
Goodness knows how many times it happened when I wasn't around!

Are you suggesting my goats are nosy? ;D

Giving all his secrets away.
It's definitely therapy. I love leaning against them when I'm milking, even when I've finished - til they get fed up. I had a friend who used to ring up to say she's had a bad day, could she please come and do the milking.
