Title: Old Buildings Expert / Architect wanted, Scotland
Post by: Womble on November 07, 2011, 09:19:56 pm

Hi Folks,

We need to make some alterations to our house, but some of the questions we have are quite specific to old buildings. Does anybody know of somebody who might be able to help me with this?  I'm thinking along the lines of an architect / structural engineer / experieced surveyor, that type of thing. Based in Central Scotland.

Thanks!!

Hi,  just wondered how you got on with the above search.  I am looking for a builder in Central Scotland who has a good knowledge of old buildings. We need some work doing, the house was built in 1750's. It would be good to hear if you had some success.
Many thanks.

Ayeskint had some work done on her house. The builder that did it, Tim, was an old and unusual buildings man, I'm pretty sure. Maybe you could pm Ayeskint and ask her. He made a ovely job of her extension.
