She was limping, checked her hoof, it was cut. I probed it with my finger and pulled back
the flap of "skin?, foot? hoof? anyway no nail or anything in it.
Would it hut to put some copper sulfate liquid on it to dry it up and aid in healing?
-
it'll make her squeal!
Do you have any iodine or gentian purple spray that will spray on and dry immediately?
She'll benefit from something to keep the infection out
hope she is ok soon :pig:
-
peroxide? I will look at tractor supply for puple stuff tomorrow
-
if peroxide is what you have. go for it!
I don't imagine the pig will be too pleased, but better a short squeal than an infection - she'll soon forgive you :D
I'm a scientist by profession - I prefer my animal treatments to have fancy names that chemical ones, it makes me feel better, knowing what that the chemicals can do!!

Thank you scientist!!!
Thank God for the chemicals that allow us and our animal friends to live longer and healthier!!

as said before iodene, or purple spray (we use footmaster) it also helps if you keep them in for a few days on dry clean straw. you'll be supprised how quick it heals.
