HI Robert,

-

it wont be far for you to go to our barn dance you are one side of dunfy the dance is the other :farmer:

Ooo errr, not sure about barn dances, I'm a bit of a two left footed elephant! Sounds good, though!
If you are able to get me any hay or straw through your guy that would be amazing. I need both, ideally. When you have a mo let me know if he's ok with that, and what he charges. (Also, rectangles or big roundies?) And where he is. Etc etc! Thanks for your help, it's very much appreciated!

two left feet are fine you wont need feet for the pig racing or for the pig on a spit only your hands will be needed and not forgeting that trolley of alcohol that you could bring ;) :farmer:

I'm sold.

Hi, Dizzycow
Look forward to seeing you at the SPKA hog roast / ceilidh. Don't worry about the two left feet.
You'll get hay and probably straw from Collessie Feeds - you'll find them on google or phone 01337 810257.
-
Thank you! See you then!
-
Yeah Dizzycow - don't worry about the dancing ;) it would be great to see you there
It's gonna be a belter ;D ;D ;D

I got small square bales of both hay and straw from Collessie yesterday. Not sure how much they cost, as we bought a whole load of stuff and were just given a total but they are very reasonably priced.

I was very surprised the other day when my local farmer, who has been giving me advice on the animals we've been buying and who rents us the fields brought me round the biggest bale of straw I've ever seen just to keep me going. Some good folks out there I think x

I think I paid £4.50 a bale for hay but it's good stuff and heavy bales.

Lucky you, Melodrama! I'll try Collessie and see what their minimum order for delivering is. I'll stock up on dog, sheep and chicken food too. Time to clear some space in the shed...!
I've just seen the thing on the SPKA site, (having first clicked on the Scottish Power Kite Association website, errr wrong!) and discovered that the hog roast is on the same day as my daughter's sixth birthday so no chance of us going which is a real shame.

If your still looking for hay/straw i might be able to help. Thanks Ally

Hi Ally,
I haven't yet got round to sorting it out, where are you?
Vikki

Hi Vicky we stay near to Dunblane thanks Ally
-
Not too far! Ideally I'd love ten rectangular bales of each, but at the moment I'm so desperate to have just enough for the chooks' nesting boxes that I bought some revoltingly overpriced straw in the supermarket... aaarghhh! Do you have that quantity? If so, what would you charge? Our trailer is having the floor replaced, we could probably borrow one, or would you be able to deliver it to us?
Many thanks!

Robert,
is the straw you have got any good? And is it big bales or wee ones? I might be interested in a couple of bales. Got a big bale this week from our normal supplier who only charged us a fiver for it as it is such bad straw!
