Title: Daffy duck is dead !

So , daffy duck is dead and democracy is on the cards out there ! (that or a total blood bath ! ) .
 What are the chances of the people of the uk, getting the same freedom to choose between democracy, and being in the dictatorship that is the eu ?.
 I would say none! , to not a chance in hell !

I'm not sure they'll get much choice either. American companies will be "encouraged" to take over their utility companies and we all know what will happen to the oil, Uncle Sam needs that too!

Do you really think that the majority of the UK population would know what to do with a democracy if they got one?  Other than what the headlines in The Sun told them to.

I'm afraid I'm as pessimistic as you Russ, don't see a way out of this mess with any hope.

East Germans had the chance in the late Eighties - and blew it. All that most of them wanted was what the west had, thinking it had grown on trees. I don't have much hope but do admire the people who have real visions but that's usually not the same people who take over the power - we know who that is and will be...no, I'm not really optimistic either. :&>

Don't meant to offend, Anke. There was so much hope at the time and all that happened was that it got absorbed into the mainstream of the political and economical powers at force. Looking at it from today - they had no chance to do something different with their new freedom! It's human nature to blow it... :&>

Watched one news report yesterday that said that there was evidence that he was sexually molested before execution,   Just can't get my head round that.  what sort of sick individual .............doesn't bear thinking about.

apparently that's one of the most popular tools of warfare, especially in Africa. almost as many men are raped in war as women, they just don't talk about it. Doesn't bear thinking about what humans are capable of.
