what are those little round yellow sometimes orange things that grow in trees by the roadside they are smaller than a plum.......... are they ok for pigs....are the citric, do they have stones, theres loads round here laying all over the verge.

Have you got a photo Harry ?
Could be greengages or medlars - both should be okay and I wouldn't worry about the stones (pigs can bite/chew through bone ;))

To hear my pigs crunch through a peach stone makes my teeth tingle :o Your fruit sounds like wild bullace so don't let the pigs get it all, they're lovely :yum:

Hi Harry, sound like they could be crab apples. If they are then they are fine for pigs, feed as you would apples. They are very small yellow or orangey apples. The trees are usually laden with them and look quite a picture. they are smaller than a walnut usually. :wave:

no not crab apples........... ive seen people collecting them for eating etc.... soft fruit, people say a bit sharp, will get some if humans eat them they must be ok.....i wondered if they gave pigs the quits, but i suppose to much of any fruit will
