although my land has been pig free always, now got kk pigs.......... land has had poultry on it...hens, ducks etc....... are the poultry worms a threat to the pigs...ie the same.
-
Possibly, or the weaners may have brought worms when they came - If in any doubt have a worm count done.
Thanks

Had a worm count ...all clear...(200) at 9 weeks..... but will move them onto poultry area sometime so wondered if they are the same worms....will kill at about 11 months.....Is it possible to treat land to clear worms, i believe lime can be used.......... or can resting the area clear worms

Hi Harry,
My advice would be to carry on as you are and perhaps have another count done after they have been on the land for a month or two.
Resting the land is always a good idea - however some species of worm can live dormant outside the host for upto 5 years.
Thanks
