A couple of years ago I read a book written by a farmer who, for reasons I can't remember, decided to eat nothing that he hadn't caught or gathered from the wild on his farm.
Does anybody know the title of this book ? Any idea how I could find out?

no!
try googling, or Amazon for similar types of book?
(Sorry, I'm no help. Its just that nobody else has replied and I didn't want you thinking nobody cared!) :)

I can kind of vaguely remember hearing something about it, but that's no help!
Someone on the Low Impact Living Initiative forum would know - try asking there?

Just a guess, but is it called "Blimey I'm hungry: a hundred ways to cook slugs and nettles" by any chance?

No, but I'll look out for that one :) :)
