According to the Beeb it's coming on Sunday night now but should be fairly well spent by the time it crosses the Atlantic - fingers crossed.

Where's Gary when we need him - he could have warned us a lot earlier.  I was told by my friend in Sweden ::)

I heard about this on the BBC news this morning. They were saying it could hit west coast of scotland and wales at 80mph but by the time it reaches inland nearer 70mph - which to me is still mighty fast.
We had a really blustery day monday, took all my electric strips down (the one day I had a short skirt that blew upwards as I tried to mend it in me wellies, looked right daft  ::)  )

hope it doesn't hit you all too hard xx

We're on the West Coast - just north of Oban, I'll shout when it reaches us. Whether we'll have power to do any shouting by remains to be seen, but I'll try all the same!  :D

the tracking puts it on top of us by tuesday morning. the wind is nothing rare just a month early. the 2-4inch of rain is not going to do us any good.

LOL, well the campsite warden advised us this morning to go and book into a B&B because "Well, it won't be cheap, but you're on holiday, and new tent won't be cheap either!!".

Oh what good advice..... a warm room, a pub down the road, and TAS via the free Wi-fi.

Come on Katia, we're ready for you now!!  ;D

the weather has been down graded for us nothing more than 30mph winds.

I thought it was windy today - then on the North West weather tonight, it said there would be up to 70mph winds tomorrow, worse than today .......

For the last few days its been really windy, but very strange as it was so warm with it - not the usual British weather.  Today, we went riding, and it was really windy, but quite cool.  Up on the moors the wind was whistling through the grass and I thought  I would be blown off the pony.  Thank goodness I did not have a riding hat cover - I have had a few blow away with the high winds!!

Same for us. I have to admit to a certain amount of relief, there's only so much wind our polytunnel can withstand ;) and we did have 69mph a couple of weeks back but it seemed to have missed the news  :D
