Hiya am setting up the greenhouse and have a parafin heator which i want to setup but not sure where to buy parafin from
anyone got any ideas?

I used to get it in B&Q or Homebase (also the camping shop in Stirling), however not sure if they sell it anymore due to the fact that some people in our area have a taste for it !

Hello Linz,
if it proves difficult to obtain paraffin in your area , you can use heating oil instead. It works perfectly ok either in tilley type lamps or in wick type heater/lamps. The last time I bought paraffin it was very dear, so now I just use heating oil instead.

My cousin used to live in Bettyhill and I think he used to buy his in 5 gallon drums from a local garage. He also bought it from a neighbour too. He lives in Keiss now and has coal instead so can't help anymore than that really, apart from the link below ...they may help ..
