Title: Egg Whites are green!!!
Post by: Maria1969 on August 24, 2011, 07:00:05 pm
Hello All

I got 10 ex bats around 2months ago and all are doing very well, havnt lost any and eatting me out of house and home, however my mum came over from France and before she left took around 20/30 eggs home with her (the trip takes around 24hrs) so at most the eggs were 3days old when she went to crack them open they all had green eggs whites?????

Any clues as too why?? We have been eatting the eggs since day one and have never had one with a green white ???

Many thanks
maria

it could be helpful if you could get hold of some pictures,

I have that occasionally, or even with a greenish/blue white. First time it happened I didn't eat it but now I think it has to do with what they eat, even if I can't pinpoint any differences in diet. Maybe someone else knows more, will be watching for more replies! :&>
