with Knight Frank at £850k!

That is beautiful, you will sell easily, what a nice home and small holding for some one. Where do you plan moving too? My friend has sold her house in France but is keeping it quiet until shes moved out just in case!!
-
it's not the OP's house I dont think? they are posting a link because the property featured in a popular TV series about how to live a more eco friendly lifestyle and the man from the programme has done lots of TV since on different programmes.
-
that's right lachlandmarcus, certainly not mine - (mine's nicer but not so ecofriendly!) just thought it would be of intererst?
-
Like I said, nice but too expensive for us and I do like our little big house!!
-
I can't see the link
-
I did not see the link either just googled the area and the estate agent

lovely.......
but for that price i'd want more than a green place ;)
i'd want spots and bows tooo ;D
-
Thank you, it is a lovely place - not much land tho
-
I wish I could have a place like that, oh I suppose I need to slog my heart out for another 30 years and then I might!
-
very pretty,
I'm sure it'll be bought by someone who wants to look like they're green and environmentally aware, by buying a 'green' house, but can't be bothered to actively reduce their consumption by, say: not flying; driving an economical car; or living in a house that's no larger than they need & well insulated.
Or am I being unduly cynical? ;)

I always wondered during the programmes just what proportion of the land was worked - looks like not much. I know I'm nit-picking, but the raised beds of the veg garden are the kind I just don't understand - the soil is at the same level as the surrounding ground, so they are not raised for drainage or better soil. I find it just a big waste of space. If they cultivated the same area with row crops and didn't bother with all those fiddly bits of wood harbouring slugs, and all those grass paths, they would make far more efficient use of the area of veg garden and produce far more veg. That was me on my soapbox :D :D :D

Not for me. Veg plots look silly - I agree with FW here. Looks like most of the Grade 2 features have been spoiled, why not buy a modern house? We have the same acreage, though not the range of buildings and water wheel and free spring water (LOL). Did not see the programme, but looks more like playing green than being green, with a house spin off. Still good luck to them.

It's lovely - love the kitchen and the room with the bookshelves. It would make a lovely B&B, specialy in that area of the country.
