Are there any Essex smallholders on the site? We are based just outside Colchester and I wondered where others might be?

My last place was over that way, roughly whereabouts are you (no need to be exact, internet and all that). I might be able to point you in the direction of stock suppliers, feed merchants etc (but you prob know them anyway).

What breed of chickens do you have?

We are in Elmstead Market and have got 2 light sussex and a bluebell.
