Title: Safe to eat?

Hi
I'm having to kill a hen as egg bound.  The hen is about 3 years old.  Will it still be safe to eat?  Not bothered about toughness as will cook in a pressure cooker.

Id say yes, being eggbound isnt a disease is it?
