Title: goat skins
Post by: fifixx on July 31, 2011, 02:07:51 pm
I've asked for the 2 goat skins back from the abattoir and they are going to the tannery after initial salting for 2/3 days.

I have instructions.  Any tips for the first-timer?

Hopefully I will do the right thing.  I have to salt them over a 3 day period and so long as they are not at all stinky I can send them off to the tannery.  I am sending them to an organic one which sounds just the right thing.  www.organicsheepskins.com (http://www.organicsheepskins.com)

Instruction No 1 is - BUY YOUr SALT FIRST in capital letters!!
