I have found 3 tins of condensed milk in the cupboard :o clearly intended to make caramel shortbread at some point but before I gave up wheat ::) I also have one block of cooking chocolate so it would make sense to use some of it up wouldn't it? ;)
Any thoughts on an alternative to a biscuit base? I wondered about oats and seeds but wasn't sure if that with all the sugar on top would constitute a balanced diet ;D or a disaster :o
Ideas welcome, or if anyone can think of other uses for condensed milk..

I doubt if anything with condensed milk in it could be considered a balanced diet ;) Just don't make them before Wednesday! ;D

why not make a flapjack base? Probably be quite sweet and sickly..but to be honest..who care !! :D

I often use ground almonds in the place of flour - have never made shortbread but think it would work :)

Actually, why not use soya flour or rice flour. As shortbread calls for plain flour, either of those would work. Failing that, may I suggest a big spoon and a movie (I love condensed milk)
