Hi, I'm currently looking for a small livestock trailer for moving sheep on my smallholding. I was just wondering if anybody had anything for sale at the moment?
Thanks,
Chris

We searched Ebay, and found a small pony trailer which is ideal. Most horse/pony trailers are far cheaper than the aluminium livestock trailers ;)

Bear in mind tho the abbatoir rules about trailers - not sure wood is welcome any more, as they cant be cleaned the same way the metal ones can. Of course lots of pony trailers are metal/cleanable materials but worth checking out. Also rules on ramp angles are being tightened, and the need for fold out loading side gates.
Pony trailer def a good idea and would prob be cheaper but need more research before buying.

Our abatoir was happy with the trailer we took them in last time, which was a plywood box fitted to a normal metal car trailer. The ramp on the pony trailer we bought is very low, infact it's a better trailer all round than the home-made jobby hubby did 8)
