These questions can be quite hard to answer. A lot depends on the breeder's costs, whether they are purely hobby farmers or not and the quality of the stock. I reckon between £40 and £80 for an 8 week weaner. For peace of mind you would need to ensure that the parents are pedigree registered and that the weaners are birth registered with the BPA. Pedigree papers cost no more than £6 per pig - usually this is extra.
Hope this helps.

Yep.... we sell cross bred weaners for £45 each at 8 weeks. Used to pat £50 for Saddleback weaners when we lived on the mainland :pig: :pig:

Hi, Just a short note to wish you the best of luck in your endeavours (from a like minded soul). As regards where you can source Tamworth weaners go to http://www.tamworthbreedersclub.co.uk/3.html and you can stick a wee add in the forum for free. This should sort you out. One wee tip, choose your bloodlines carefully, some are very common and others appear to be getting rarer. The http://www.britishpigs.org/pedigree.htm site is also worth a look for pedigree birth notified weaners in the U.k. and Ireland.
If you want to let me know how you're doing, drop me an e-mail, hell if you just want to share tips etc I'm sure we'd both benefit! You've found a great forum for advice here if you run into any problems.
Regards,
Morgan
