happy birthday

Oh wow thanks everyone :) :) :) It is a biggy - the one where you suddenly become an OAP :o :D :D
My dearest OH cleaned out the henhouses for me and dealt with a red mite increase, so that made my day ;D ;D I hate the things.
Now I'm fat and burping after a huge slice of the triple tier rasp and strawb sponge I made for afternoon tea (tres posh ::) and I can smell the roasting hogget to be eaten with lots of our homegrown veggies, which I'd better go and pick/dig - that's a wonderful birthday for me.

Sounds divine :)
Happy birthday!

Here's the cake - not very professional but it tasted good. Rasps on the bottom layer, the rest are strawbs. Please all help yourselves to a virtual slice :yum:
Annie - I retired 15 years ago with a dodgy heart, so this is retirement for me - and it's great :D
Thank you all again for your good wishes :-* Back to salad tomorrow ;D
-
Oh YUM!! I really enjoyed that! Could taste every raspberry and strawberry! :P *licks lips enthusiastically*

Happy Birthday Fleecewife, a little pressy for you, If you get a bag of lime and sprincle it on the floor under the shavings you wont get redmite , it doesn't need a lot, just a dusting., the little sods don't like it.
-
Hi Fleecewife, I'm late wishing you happy birthday too, but just wanted to say thanks for all your advice in the past.
-
Late because I did not know and was away but hope you enjoyed your day - no more males with their feet round their neck ;D ;D
