Agh what is it with some people, took my brother out shooting the other day get back home and find 2 big baskets of picked peas sat in the sun.Went to water the poly tunnel plants and noticed a bare piece of ground, she (mrs) had pulled up my globe artichoke,i asked why she didnt put the peas in the fridge or wait until i had got time to pod them, didnt think was her reply.Asked what right she had to go pulling plants up,it had black fly on it and she thought it would spread to the peas.Bloody fuming i was, last year she cut the flowering stems off the spuds.

In the big picture, what are a few plants/food...... she has her reasons, you have yours....so maybe there is something you both are not saying to each other...Did she want to spend time with you????
We are complex creastures and thats what I love!!!!
-
;) at least shes tryin to help! ;)
-
Maybe you should be teaching her things and getting her to help. :)

Hey Happy Larry - be happy ;D Your wife clearly wants to help in the garden but she can't read your mind so she's made some mistakes. So include her - let her know what you are doing, what your plans are and find ways she can help. 8) There's no place for resentment and blame in a Happy Larry marriage  ;D 8)

Awwh bless her little green wellies ;D
Remember if you show her what to do; you may fall into the catagory of telling her what to do ??? :D Complex indeed :) Buy her some flowers, without the green fly ;D

doganjo, were not married ;D i have been teaching her how to cook for the last 11 years but she still manages to cock that up :'(
sandy, never mind the big picture,a few plants they may HAVE been but they where MY plants,i dont interfere with her house work or ironing :P .If i threw the plant her mother brought her she wouldnt be happy,as for reasons everything i do has a reason to it,she just has a whim and dosent think,it wasnt that she wanted to spend time with me,i asked her the day before she struck if she wanted to help me pick the peas.
fleecewife, she only wants to help when it suits her,to be honest i would rather she left the plot to me.I did say to her i would spray the black fly on the artichoke so she knew it was a job in hand.
cobra,as for awwh bless her little green wellies,i felt like kicking her fat ass ;D no chance of any flowers either i put a bunch of nettles in her vase ;)

steady on ... if this is "happy larry" I'd hate to see him cross!

I know i didnt paint a good picture of her and a few things i said in jest, now to put things into perspective shes as good as gold, the most kindest thoughtful person i have ever known, she worships the ground i walk on.Its just the interfering that bugs me,she cleans for a local pensioner and has been barred from touching the plants in this garden also.Right im off to bin her chockie buscuits lol.
-
I had a feeling this was the case ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Just you go and drop "HER" iron, so she can't do "Her" ironing any more. Then go about in wrinkly shirts and trousers :P :P :P

Arrrrrrh  My hubby interferes all the time but I love him to bits too
-
Give her a bit of garden for her own, dig it over for her, so she doesnt have to start from scratch then she can be happy doing her own thing and you can do yours.
She could be worse, - we have Hilary the real "gardeners friend"

Arh, I get it now, she's like my hubby, only interested in your stuff, my OH has loads of old things but always wants to throw mine out, cut down trees I love, moaned about my ducks, anything that goes wrong is my fault. He truns the TV over when I am watching something, turns off the cooker, dryer, washing machine, when I am waiting for them, washes up things I am using and throws away magazines or reads mine before I have >:(
He is also the worst back seat driver as when I do need directions and approaching a junction, I will say " which way?" and he goes quiet!!!!!!!!!! then I take the wrong turn, so I bought a SAT NV and I picked him up from the station as I know where that is but then went to collect a TV from some ones house, so put the code in SAT NV at the station, set off, he was telling me something, then the SAT NV said "go right" he said "go left" so I went left and nearly crashed into another car comming around the roundabout!! that just illustrates when some one interferes that much, they take over your brain!!!!! Maybe its just ME ;) ;) ;)

So have I...my OH was waiting very patiently for his big daisy flowers to bloom and I have just pulled them all out as part of my weeding activity. Apparently I chopped them down early last year which was why I though they were just rubbish. I can only hope a couple of the roots have missed my administrations. I like cutting things down, for firewood and clearance purposes, much needed in our relatively new garden (got it last year-hence not knowing what was in it). I have been banned from cutting anymore as the shredder (OH) cannot keep up with my activity and I am also prone to getting tired after the chopping and leaving a bit of mess around (saws and pruners now hidden). I got round him by taking him to a poultry sale, buying too much for him and now he is making chook houses so he has other things to think about ;D ;D

An old Gardener friend once told me never to cut anything out/back/down until I'd watched it grow for a year, and then only after checking the books he gave us. ::) Our garden always looked like a wilderness as a result!
-
Yep with that one but.... We had a jungle and something had to go/give - And I have hands so won ;D ;DAnyhow not convinced by Oh that they really are big daisy jobs - but difficult to argue when he teaches Biology ::)
