To watch Victorian Farm here in the USA I've resorted to being a pirate (torrents) (sorry, it just seems all the good shows are in the UK/Europe)
Anyhow, LOVE the show, and this site has been an awesome resource- thank you!
About me:
John, located in a little farming town near Salem, Oregon.
It snowed a little today. But it won't last. Oregon is quite moderate when it comes to weather. I've already planted onions, garlic, etc in the back yard. I'd love to have a few acres and a little farm (and I'm working towards that goal).
I'm in my 30's with a wife and four kids.
My wife has gone back to university to get her Degree in Elementary Education and I work for a technology contractor for General Electric. Quite a few layoffs here but ok so far.
Feel free to comment or ask questions :)

Hi John,
Welcome to the forum from a snowy Scotland !
We've not quite had the weather for me to brave putting anything in the ground yet (but this is only my first 'serious' year of growing, only attempted lettuce, beans & potatoes so far!)
I have 2 kids and 3rd on the way and knowing how busy mine keep me I'm amazed you get time to do anything !
Look forward to hearing more from you
Karen ;D

OH SOMEONE FROM THE STATES. I WAS WONDERING IF I WAS THE ONLY ONE.
I HAVE 3 ACERS. ME AND MY HUSBAND WE HAVE CHICKENS AND TWO DOGS.
ITS NICE BUT ALOT OF MOWING, WHEN GAS WAS HIGH IT COST US ABOUT 50.00 DOLLARS A MONTH TO KEEP THE GRASS CUT.WE HAVE A ZERO DEGREE MOWER AND IT TAKES ME ABOUT 2HRS, HOPEFULLY WITH 4 KIDS YOU HAVE SOME HELP WITH MOWING IF YOU GET ANY LAND. ITS NICE BUT HARD WORK. SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT WHEN BUYING LAND. ITS WORTH IT THOUGH, NOTHING LIKE PEACE AND QUIET AND FARM ANIMALS AND FRESH EGGS.
:chook: :paw:
