we fetched our new additions on sunday,3 brothers and a sister, anglo nubian dad and g/g mum! they are very sweet and very small though due to her having 4!! id never seen this before :-\
here's a pic of binkey! we've called him that because he looks like 'jar jar binks' out of star wars!! ;)..he is the smallest boy and his sister is idential to him, size and colour! not got a name for her yet!!
Then theres oscar (brown n white) who we are keeping as a stud for the other goats we have and last is the other boy who is the odd one...he looks more g/g than the others as they are definatly a/n looking!

Ah, he's cute. Are quads unusual?
-
Are they BGS registered as HB goats? It would be an unusual cross, but you may get high fat milk, especially if Dad also had other daughters with good butterfats.
I had a GGxAN goatling (rescue) for a while, but had to sell her as I am going down the pure GG and BG route, and AN's aren't the right cross for BG's.

non are registered unfortunatly! we just have a small herd to produce some meat billies and maybe go into some milk produce next year.x.

Lovely ;D
Will definitely be requiring more photos ;)

;D :D ;D :D

Not that unusual for Anglo-Nubian's (one half of the cross in this case). The other breeds can have up to 5 as well, but it takes more out of them as they are heavier boned.

just a thought thinking ahead have you checked the slaughter house you use kill goats, we have to take ours to a different one to the sheep, pigs and cattle as our usual one will not do goats and a lady i was talking to the other week has had a nightmare in her area to find a slaughter house that takes goats she has to travel 140 miles rather than 10 for her local one.
we are trying to talk our slaughter house into looking into goats & their meat but i dont think it will be easy ::)
that reminds me got to pick up this weeks goat meat today ;)

Good point. I am lucky because ours does (15 mins down the road), but goats need a different license to sheep. If they do not expect to get a reasonable amount of business in goats they are unlikely to go down that route.
But they do not like to do big fully grown intact billies...
-
ours do them! thankfully..10 mins down the road and got local butcher who will do that side aswell. :)
we will be castrating the billies so we can keep them longer rather than slaughtering tiny kid goats, this should stop the taint apparently! x.x.x
heres another pic with all 4 in! its a good one of oscar!!

Great photo ;D Your place looks much like ours - a less wet version :D

i have just brought back a 18 month old buckling (entire) from the butchers the meat weighed in at 119lb, but they commented on the billy smell prior to killing ;)
