Title: combs and cutters

Roughly how many sheep will a cutter shear before it should be changed, i appreciate the different wool and breeds may have an influence. We are doing our own this year and need to know to get enough cutters thanks

Hi Myvada

Personal for me, i do it on time rather then sheep so if the handpiece is constantly working i would change a cutter every 20mins and a comb every 2 hrs.  Sticking to this rountine helps when it comes to sharperning the cutters and combs. On average in 2hrs i would have shorn 60 sheep.
