The weather here is fierce so no chance of seeing any even if they were overhead - but according to the Aurora Forecast bods, anyone in northern Scotland with clear skies just might have seen something on the northern horizon tonight...

I haven't seen the 'dark' for weeks up here...it's still light at midnight and if I get up in the early hours for a potty stop (usually 2am) it's already light. I'm pretty sure we had broken cloud last night, but I can't stay awake long enough to catch it dark enough to see any northern lights ;D

Ah, that's a shame Skirza - the forecast is that where you are you would see activity on the northern horizon tonight. But you are right, at your latitude it says the skies will be too light until August.

Hmmm i wonder if we will see anything, or if being in fife we are to far south?

If I catch any dark tonight I'll look for them ...and even take pictures. Knowing my luck, tonight will be the only night I sleep right through :P
