Title: which boar/ai for saddleback sow

Another question for the tas font of knowledge.What boar or semen for serving saddleback sows for porkers would you advise,thanks for reading.

I use a saddleback or pietrain boar for my girls if that helps, so does my OH and he sells most of his as meat, very good it is too  :)

I have used a pietrain and a large white with my saddleback girls......great babies both times although have only tasted the large white offspring....others not ready yet but look like great porkers. I will be interested to see if the taste is any different. We do mostly sausage so it may not be noticeably different. I have never tried AI as have been lucky to be able to borrow in local boars. Think it is all abit trial and error at first and see what works for you.
