Title: Just on the off chance
Post by: CameronS on June 13, 2011, 11:39:17 am
I was wondering if anyone has/will have day old - week old(ish) chicks for sale, I'm looking to a)add some young stock to my existing flock
b)Expand my hobby into a potential business(but need a starting point)

Any breeds considered, i am in fife and have parents willing to travel a reasonable distance, (or may be able to arrange something)

not looking for massive numbers something between 20-50

Thanks

Cameron  :chook:

Hi Cameron, why not hatch your own? You can rent an incubator.  :chook:

Good luck Cameron - unfortunately too far away from here to collect chicks.  Just wondering .....what are you going to do with the cockerels (as obviously you will get a fair few out of the number you are asking for)?  And it won't be much of a business with a shed full of cockerels, will it ;D

The plan is with any males to keep them separate and fatten them  ::)

I never thought about renting an incubator - will look into it  :)

If you want to take this into a business splash out on an incubator it will pay back really quickly
