Title: Do I need to shear last years lambs?

nothing to add - oh other than they are shetlands, but dont look like they are going to self roo (like some of their mummy's!)

Yes.  First fleeces are less likely to self-roo than subsequent years

Most of mine got done May 25th, quite early, but especially the shetlands were well risen, also in the hoggs. Shearer was pleased with them, so I think yours should be ready now.

the only 3 we have so far done were also pretty ready rising wise so go for it!
