Title: Tamworth and British Saddleback weaners for sale
Post by: Tamsaddle on June 03, 2011, 03:39:05 pm
4 purebred tamworth weaners for sale, born 9 May, ready 6 July at 8 weeks old - boars and gilts, outdoor reared.
Also 4 purebred british saddleback weaners, boars and gilts, outdoor reared, born 29 May, ready 24 July at 8 weeks old.
We are located in Hampshire, south coast, close to Portsmouth.
Know its not the best time to be selling weaners, but worth a try anyway.   All the piglets are birth notified, healthy and lively, some will be registered, others have slight flaws in colouring.

Hi,
We have a quick question, being new to pig keeping (We are getting a pair of OSB Weaners tomorrow) when you say now is not the best time to sell weaners why is that?

We look forward to yours or someone else's reply.

Kind Regards
Robert & Sarah.

South West Poultry.

Just the rather gloomy thread on this site, now 6 pages long, called "Depressed Market and Weaners", with lots of people having a hard time selling pigs when normally it has been very easy in the past.   Only other issue is that outdoor reared pigs born mid to late May will probably be slightly too young/small to be ready for slaughter in time for Christmas when there is a lot of demand for the meat, but April or March births work out fine - Enjoy your new piggies - Tamsaddle
