Title: Sunburn

one of our lambs has sunburn on her ears they are all pink and OH described as 'scabby'    They are lleyns    Anyone any suggestions please   wondered sunscreen or E45   and if ewe would object/lick off?? never had this before ???

my cotentin ewe had the same problem very pink skinned with no dark pigmentation at all. i used to apply suncream she never seemed to mind.

It can happen quite often  - there are certain water plants that cause photosensitivity. This is more likely to be causing scabby ears than sunburn.

St John's Wort causes photosensitivity.
