I have some organic corn I picked from the feed mill and was going to broadcast over a quite large bit of the veg field we aren't using. But May has disappeared - is it too late? I was going to let the chickens in to help themselves when it had grown, so it isn't terribly important if it isn't brilliant!

By corn, do you mean wheat? I think you are too late by now to get a ripe crop, but how about sowing it in the autumn to overwinter? It depends where you are but if farmers around you are sowing winter wheat then it should work. Just broadcasting will invite the birds to make off with the lot, so you need to work it in a bit. Good luck and I hope you get a crop.
