Hi. I have a small flock of Boreray sheep (critically endangered, 300 registered breeding ewes in THE WORLD) and I have some male lambs that eventually I will want to sell either as wethers or for breeding. Is there anyone out there (reasonably locally) who might want a Boreray ram as I have them vet castrated if not. If a ram is left intact he would be registered and pedigreed. I would love to know who is out there locally with Borerays.

Hi Judee. If no-one comes forward here, try contacting Julie Suffolk of the breed soc and she will put you in touch with other breeders in your area, or even people from whom she has had requests for stock - [email protected] (http://[email protected])

Hi. Thanks so much for your reply. I know Julie Suffolk quite well as got my starter "girls" from her. They are lovely and seem to look better every year! My Ram came through her too, although I don,t think she bred him. He is one of the darker brown ones and he has produced some beautiful lambs both last year and this. Only three ewes born this year though and four ram lambs. I believe she had a very good year for ewe lambs, 26 last I heard. Thanks again, nice to hear from you.
