Next meeting is Wednesday 18th February, 7pm, Dumyat Centre, Menstrie.
All you West Lothian folk - we'd be very happy to welcome you along. Plus anyone else in Central Scotland.
It's just a social evening - tea and buns. When we get thrown out at 9.30, there's a pub across the road!
-
I shall be comming, i penciled it in, hope I am not working as I do evenings, otherwise CU there all
-
Just put it on my phone - see you all then. Sandy I'll pick you up if you aren't working.
-
I think I may have been the only one to bring home mades last time - anyone else doing this or shouldn't I bother with the rock cakes for next week?
-
I just changed my rota so I can come, I will double check tomorrow as I do not want to let anyone down, not sure if we need so much food, just a drink and maybe a bikki, I love the food too but maybe I eat too much, no..I doooo eat too much, see you there thanks Anne, hope you enjoyed your lunch, I had 2 packs of crisps for mine :pig:

I've still got some packets of biscuits from last time - but home made is better!
-
Ok, will try to get some made when I come back from Englandshire. Must check the weather down there. Sandy - will I pick you up? Linz, what about you?

I would love to come along to one, but work is manic at the moment, working evenings and some weekends and I dont think i'd be able to come along until April-ish, but shall keep an eye out for the next one :)
-
We will have some exciting news on Wednesday.
I'd also like to take some time to look at the Government's food policy consultation paper "Choosing the Right Ingredients: the Future for Food in Scotland"
-
Some one expecting? not sure if that would be exciting but more a miracle for some of us.
-
hopefull i'll be able to come along and i have someveg seeds which am not gona uses so i'll try and remeber to bring and people can take them if they want (not garenteed that they will grow)

A veg swap would be a good idea. I will bring along some extra seeds too.
PS. no pregnancy here thankfully
-
make that a big pile of seeds now lol
maybe i should make up good bags for all!!!!
-
We're coming too! Looking forward to meeting you all, should we bring anything with us (apart from Reg fee?) :bouquet:

No, just yourselves. Annie's on the rock cakes so we're OK for baking!
-
Thanks for the invite Rosemary, Should be OK for us to come tomorrow babysitter permitting. However not quite sure having a back garden with 2 Chickens in Stirling will qualify us to attend the Central Scotland Small Holders Association? Hope thats OK.

Both look good - might need a competition to choose the best for the CSSA logo!
-
They look good, just add a nice dollup of mud to make them authentic!!! No, I think the first one looks nice, well done.
-

I will be there but will probably be late (working) - Apologies from Bob, he will not be there (meeting down south).
Looking forward to seeing you all
;)

I'm still wondering about this. Rosemary suggested I might like to consider joining in my introductions thread, but I'm still concerned I'm just at too much of an entry level to be more than an annoyance to the CSSA, even though there's no doubt I want to move toward smallholding in the future. Any thoughts on this either way?
I've got a psychology paper to complete and submit by end of Tuesday, so can justify taking Wednesday off to come to the meeting in Alloa on Wednesday if I'd be welcomed (and I can find the town hall.. driven past Alloa many times, never been in it!).
-
We are all at different stages, I am a 'newbie' and just learning. Everyone is really nice and very welcoming. I have only been to one meeting and really looking forward to the next one, we all had a good giggle too!! (Oh a cup of tea and some lovely Rock buns!!!) You should come along, whats the worst that can happen .... might rope you in to hen / pig / sheep / dog / cat / duck / goldfish ... sitting !!!! See you Wednesday ;)
-
Alloa Hall is easy to find - right beside a roundabout, next to the health centre on the main road to stirling and opposite the end of Church Street. we're all newbies at something till we make a few mistakes - then we become experts! Parking in the health centre might be easier as the town hall has quite a small car park
See you Wednesday 7pm in Tom
-
I can come now so see you all there :D
-
Good stuff; look forward to it.
-
No rock cakes tomorrow folks - sorry, won't have time - off to Borders to visit a sick friend.
-
