Title: Hello from near Glamis, Scotland
Post by: pikilily on January 25, 2009, 05:35:06 pm
Hi I have already introduced myself but didnt put my location in the header which seems to be the correct thing to do! Have repeated the intro again below. If you are nearby we'd love to hear from you...perhaps we can share local knowledge, where to get things etc etc

We are based just along the road from Glamis, near to Meigle. Have four acres for all the animals..2 horses Horse, five sheep  Sheep(hopefully in lamb), six home bred hens  Chook and six home bred cockerels all welsummers.  We also have two dogs Dug, three and a half cats Cat  and the occasional injured wild animal  :ladybug:being given refuge before releasing.

My husband has taken over the veg garden and greenhouses now, so I can concentrate on the animals because I work full time too.
cheers speak soon

Its a lurcher...isnt he gorgeous?

I have two dogs at the mo.

Sunny who is a rescued whippet lurcher, has eyebrows like Gandolf, soulful chocolate brown eyes and a fluffy grey coat. typical lurcher is quite highly strung.

Oddy who is a collie x border terrier...terroriser!  He sort of looks like a badger!! He loves to lie upside down on my lap and gaze about the room. I am sure he is doing what I used to do when i was a little girl and imagine myself walking around the house on the ceiling. It is most disconcerting for visitors because he studies them intently whilst he is upside down draped upside down across my lap. lives up to his name!

anyway need to give them a quick wiz round the field before teatime
