hi...i keep indian runners...just got 10 karki campbells...anyone ever crossed these... if so do they retain there egg laying capabilities being the top 2 breeds for eggs... reason i ask is i have no karki drakes but the runner drakes have had a go.  harry

Will let you know in four weeks time as I've just put seven eggs into the incubator, some of which are Indian Runner drake and Khaki Campbell laydees. Fingers crossed! ::)

i have a drake and a duck that are Indian runner/KC crosses i also have a pure Indian runner girlie, both the females are laying very well. and the drake has a decent amount of meat on him not that i intend to eat him.

yup, all my mongrels are good layers. Some did look quite funny, especially the one of the boys  ::)
The only cross that gives problems in the second generation are Muscovies with European ducks as they go infertile. :&>
