Title: Hello from Aberdeenshire
Post by: gillsta on April 30, 2011, 12:35:47 pm
Hi my name is gill and I live with my family on our small croft in rural Aberdeenshire.

We have three and a half horses all Arabs except the half which is a welsh Sec A. We also have various chooks and are preparing to have some weaner's in the very near future. I would also like some soay sheep. We produce our own hay every year and have been lucky so far with it. Touch wood.

I have had horses most of my life and have practiced natural horsemanship for the last 8yrs. I would like to have our pony broken to harness but I might have to get somebody else to do that for me.

Hi Gill, welcome from north Cumbria.  I have Fells & Dales ponies and am learning about breaking them to harness and to ride.  But rather slowly and not very good at it...

We farm beef and sheep commercially, I have OSB pigs (actually just one gilt, she'll have company when I get her bred!), a Jersey house cow, chooks and no more Muscovy ducks till someone catches that *&^%$ mink...

Hi Angela, I did a bit of endurance right up until 6 yrs ago when I fell pregnant. Have been wanting to get back into it but need to get the old girl fit again. Will dust off the cobwebs of my Orthoflex saddle soon. Been too busy building stables and fencing. Whats it like having geese?? I quite fancy getting some.
