The primary kids here are having a non-uniform/dressing-up day but the high school are having a 'business as usual' day because the head is anti the royalty. (Yaa! Boo!)

I thought it was a Public Holiday - why are the kids at School?  We have a street party this afternoon from 4pm

It's been wonderful! Lovely and entirely appropriate service. The prayer written by the couple and the lesson were perfect, as was the music. "Jerusalem" was a goosepimple moment. Dress was perfect too. Lovely - hope everyone has has a great day celebrating love and hope.

By the way, did you know that Bucklebury (where Kate was brought up) features in "Lord of the Rings"?

My wife is watching it (luckily no guests in the BnB until this evening...wonder if she planned it that way??!  ;) )
I'm overseas in Germany at the moment. There are several pubs in Cologne showing it live and having prizes for the customers with the best fancy dress. Been a lot on German TV and in the newspapers during the lead-up to it. Must be the Hannovarian connection ;D.

Hope you all enjoy it

I cried at least 4 times - how embarrassing!! my 4 girls watched the key moments (William and Harry in their car on the way, Kate in and out of wedding car, balcony kiss...)
thought it was all totally brilliant, loved it!  having a glass or two of plum wine now in their honour (got to be done hehe)
can't believe any schools are open today, that's really not on - today is proper history in the making the sort of event children should be allowed to watch and live as it happens.

I thought it was absolutely fantastic. I SO wanted to blub, but my OH decided to watch it with me so I couldnt. I blamed my hayfever for the tears in my eyes. I just think they make such a lovely couple.

Brilliant day!

Probs is, I'll have to watch it now coz my mother-in-law's rung to say she got filmed by the Beeb at about 12.15 standing in the crowd  ::)

I only saw bits as we did have B&B guests and loads of washing/hoovering/washing up etc. Harry looks a bit of a rebel, think he will go for some one a lot more racy like his currently girlfriend, to me, she looked like she had been partying all night anyway, just the same, she did look more his type, not sure of her name. Kate's mum and sister were very elegant and I hated the fact that I kept popping in and out and seeing the Beckhams, David looked sweet but not Victoria, she looked so up tight and far too thin faced for a mum to be (bitchy) I would love to have sat and watched it as it happened but thats business for you, on the plus side, some guests left a box of pringles so I celebrated by eating them.
(1) A very smart and sweet wedding, not too pompous
(2) Not enough coverage of the party or the rest of the Royals
(3) I preferred the Gypsy Wedding the night before as I was in stitches at the dancing, the bride looked very much like lovely Barbie Doll Toilet Roll holder and the carrage, the cake and the reception were fantastic, I really loved it all, a proper princess wedding!! ;)

I was babysitting and watched with my grand daughter. We both enjoyed the whole thing and I did think Kate's sister and Harry looked well together. Nice to see all the crowd having fine and giving them their support. ;D
