Hatched a batch of goslings yesterday. One of them has a much larger head than the others and is struggling to lift it/stand up. Anyone seen this before? Is it viable?
If it stands a chance of getting itself together I will keep it obviously but if it is having a miserable time and unlikely to get better then the sooner out ots musery the better.

I had one a bit like this last year although it wasa duck, didn't have a big head, had trouble standing etc i gave mine sugar water seemed to perk her up, one of my best layers now.

It has made it through the night - i gave it water by a pipette and chick crumbe mashed with milk and it seems perkier today. Not standing but lifting its head quite successfully. May just be exhausted from long struggle to hatch. It took 3 days from pipping. Giving it benefit of the doubt for now.

Any news on this one?
