Oh to be normal ......normal people would take their water containers up the field to their horses in a wheelbarrow, or perhaps a quad or 4x4, maybe even a tractor.
What do we use?? Just a massive 6 ton dumper thats what. The fields where some of my ponies are belong to the man my hubby works for. He has a quad, but quite often we get half way over the 15 acres, up on the hillside, and it stops, so thats no use. My hubby hit on the idea of putting all the water containers in the dumpers enormous bucket, and off we chug.
The ponies come over, but once we start the dumper up, thats it, they are away over the field.
Hubby last week chain harrowed two fields - using the chain harrows pulled by the blooming dumper!!!

Very very envious of ground solid enough to take a dumper! We have tractors and quads but no better methods... Luckily the natural water supplies on our ground rarely run dry!

What are you like? Inventive, that's what! Well done! ;D
