Just picked our 1 year old old spots up from the butcher. Even he was suprised at how big they were ... and I was rather smug that the amount of fat on them is perfect! ;D
We've filled the whole of the small freezer and got 28 lbs of sausagemeant out of half of one and still have the ther half being cured for bacon and hams. We've had to buy another freezer!. Half a pig butchered coming in at 43 kg :o :)

Get a BIG freezer! :D
Our freezers are standing in the second bedroom, next to a professional meat slicer. No room for a bed, but that's no priority :D

our last 2 killed out at 130lb & 156lb (of meat ) with 62lb of sausages on top we usuallly have 3 freezers running but that was a squeeze (might have to invest in another freezer ;)

I just counted we have 5 full sized ones and a small one on top of the fridge. And still not enough with the chickens, ducks and pork.

5 chest freezers and an upright here (for pigs, sheep, ducks chickens etc)
My house reminds me of Iceland (the shop not the country) ;D

I was planning on buying 3 catering freezers for the barn for 7 6 month olds. Do you think that will be enough?

I would think so. Good packing of the freezer and boneless joints where possible helps. Great if you love jigsaw puzzles.

We're now running a chest freezer, 2 small freezers, 2 fridges and a 5ft chiller ::) ;)
