Another daft question. My one lamb who has rattle belly and has finished his course of Halt Scour yesterday, has, apparently, brought up all of his last feed. It looks like baby sick. Has anyone seen this before, is it ok, just getting used to eating again?

He's done it again, a huge lump of posset in the corner, it's as if he's trying to chew his cud and uses milk instead and it all comes tumbling out. At least he is now eating well and sucks like mad, trying not to let him have too much, he has straightened up and looks more like a lamb so perhaps the halt scour is a good thing.

i didnt realise sheep could vomit, i know horses cant unless they are seriously ill. ??? ???

I wonder if he's sucking down air and then burps.....

Just for info the vet says he has never seen this before, he says there is a flap of skin wich covers the rumen and in lambs it closes access to the rumen for the milk to flow past, he thought Cocoa must have a damaged flap and that when I could get him to eat creep and hay and rumen started working then all would be OK. He hasn't been sick for 5 days now and is taking his milk very enthusiastically and actually starting to grow and skip a bit.

Very glad to hear he's doing well - never heard of a lamb having a damaged 'rumen bypass' but I guess anything can happen :-\
Reminds me of my little brother, he did projectile vomiting everytime he drank his milk and apparently had a 'fold' in his stomach. The doctor said it would stop when he stood up and 'unfolded' his stomach and so it did :D
